Mindfulness in the Park
On Thursday, June 11th the Edmonton Chapter of the CDAA is hosting a picnic and Mindfulness in the Park; a time for recharging and networking with colleagues.
Mindfulness is a state of awareness. In our busy, hectic workdays, we forget to "stop and smell the roses" and can fall into burnout. Jennifer Moran is a certified Life Coach, Wellness Counsellor, and Yoga instructor. She has been a Career Counsellor for over 8 years, and recognizes the importance of self-care to prevent burnout. She will talk about the importance of self-care, and teach us some basic techniques that can be done anywhere to bring us back to the present and calm our minds. The giver in all of us needs to recharge our own energy so that we can continue to provide care and energy for those we work with. You’ll also learn tips for sharing the importance of mindfulness with your clients.
